This low-relief collage is created with the folded corners of “Biophilia” by Melanie Garcia from issue #12 Cut Me Up Magazine, cut and folded into an orchid-like portal. The concept of “Ma” is honored by a collage that is at once at its beginning, middle, and end, paused in this form in the moment. This minimalist piece plays with negative space using kirigami and notan methods.
